Chartered in 1780, Richford is a border town to Canada. Once home to business such as Sweat-Comings furniture and Northland Hockey Sticks, it still maintains its quaint small town feel. The Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail starts (or ends) in Richford and offers year round activities such as biking, hiking, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. This small town is large enough to have a school system, shops, health care and restaurants. Not far from Richford is Jay Peak Resort and Canada’s Mount Sutton where downhill skiing is at its best, not to mention other ski mountains that are all within an hours drive of this town.
